Terms & Definitions
- Achievement Board
- This is a board located both on the A&D Sim and also on our website, where players will be able to see the Top 8 members in various achievements.
- Acolyte
- The third officer of a Choir
- Angel
- A being of light that strives to bring order and peace to the mortal realms. They serve as protection for the mortals.
- Age
- Defined by the days active within Eternal Conflict: Angels and Demon. As you age you gain Stat Points which can be used to allocate to various things. Also as you age your mana regeneration rate increases Listed below is the age that your attacks will unlock.
- First Attack = 0 Days
- Second Attack = 101 Days
- Third Attack = 501 Days
- Fourth Attack = 1001 Days
- Archangel
- Transcended by the Empyrean Reaper. The Archangel is the highest rank within the Heavens beside the Empyrean Reaper. They are in control of all the choirs that form under them.
- Archdemon
- Transcended by the Prime Evil. The Archdemon is the highest rank within Hell beside the Prime Evil. They are in control of all the hordes that form under them.
- Awareness
- A skill that allows you to see what attacks are happening around a certain radius of your avatar.
- Backpack HUD
- This HUD is used for many difference features of Eternal Conflict. It serves as an inventory and stores all your gained items from working on professions. It also contains a spellbook, you can allocate your stat points here amongst other things
Banished
A status induced when a Demon succumbs to either lack of blood or being killed, reaching 0.000 blood. Coming out of a banishment status requires the assistance of another Demon at a Possession Altar.
Blood Tank

The Blood Tank is a physical object that can be bought and placed on your own sims. Here, a Demon will be able to deposit/withdraw blood.
- Brightness Tank
- The Brightness Tank is a physical object that can be bought and placed on your own sims. Here, an Angel will be able to deposit/withdraw brightness.
- Cardinal
- The leader of a Choir.
- Centurion
- The third officer of a Horde
- Channeling Pylon
- It is a device used to temporarily increase your max mana from 100 to 150.
- Chief Captain
- The second officer of a Horde
- Chieftain
- The leader of a Horde.
- Core Object
- This object is what is needed when wanting to work on professions.
- Criminal Status
- When you attack your same species or a player under 6 days of age in the system you will go Criminal.
- Cryonics
- This is a state that demons enter when they wish to be inactive within the system. There are various degrees of Cryonics.
- Crystals,
- Loyalty Crystal
- Can be used to pledge loyalty to another angel.
- Crystal of Choirs
- Used for administrative purposes by Cardinals or Choir Officers.
- Crystal of Archangels
- Used for administrative purposes by Archangels.
- Demon
- A being of darkness that aims to bring chaos and ruin to the mortal realms. They serve as destroy or manipulate the mortals.
- Descended
- This is referred to when a mortal becomes a demon.
- Deviant
- An angel casted out by an officer of their Choir. The term means Choirless.
- Disciple
- An angel who swears fealty to another.
- Domain
- In the Eternal Conflict, a domain is a segment of groups of angels. Each Domain is headed by an Archangel, a figure whose own distinctiveness outlines the choirs under them. All angels within Eternal Conflict belong to a domain. Being a member of a domain often carry with it a strong social identification. Most angels tend to associate most strongly with members of their own domain as well as choir. However, any angel type can co-exist under one domain with the exception of the Cardinal having to bare the same domain as their Archangel to form a bond between the choir and the domain.
- Entropy
- A term used to give a bonus for those that have a total of 3 or more minions/disciples. Depending on your Enthrophy percentage you will gain an amount of bonus to your damages. It is calculated by:
Total Blood = A.current blood + B.current blood + C.current blood + D.current blood Total Max Blood = A.max blood + B.max blood + C.max blood + D.max blood So: (Total Blood / Total Max Blood) * 100 = Your Entropy percentage.
- Erg/essence
- Erg/essence is an abstract term for the measurement of ethereal magic within an Angel/Demon. Erg/essence is generated naturally over time and also can be generated by meditation. The more disciples/minions you have the more daily erg/essence you will gain. Erg/essence is also the ethereal magic that is used to transcend/descend a mortal.
- Erg/essence, Vial
- An item that can be purchased or gifted to another and contains a set amount of erg/essence to take. 5, 10, 30, 60, and 100 are the presently available size options.
- Eternal Vow
- A vow that can be made with another player whether Angel or Demon which will give you certain benefits depending on how far you have progressed in your Vow.
- Faded
- A status induced when an Angel succumbs to either lack of brightness or being killed, reaching 0.000 brightness. Coming out of a faded status requires the assistance of another Angel at a Restoration Chamber.
- Fame
- This represents how “good of a good you are” or how “bad of a bad you are.” Basically the more good you are the better titles you will have that will show you are extremely good and vice versa for being bad. In other word becoming more “famous” from your acts.
- Feed
- The act of using the HUD so as to consume blood/brightness from a mortal. For angels it is known as blessing, for demons it is known as tainting.
- Fiend
- The second in command of a Legion. They directly help the Arch demons with managing the Hordes under them or etc.
- Greeters
- These are members of the system that are on the sim at scheduled times to help any mortals that come to the A&D sim that are interested in joining the system.
- Herald
- The second officer of a Choir
- Heretic
- A demon cast out by an officer of their Horde. The term means Hordeless.
- “Inactive” Status
- “Inactive” Status only effects what the Achievements record and nothing else. Being “inactive” means that in the last 15 mins you have NOT done any of the following:
– Feeding
– Used Perception
– Attacked anyone
– Drank any potions
– Changed Regions
– Used Spells - Invulnerable
- A Status that can be entered at the cost of one erg/essence that makes you unable to attack or be attacked. It has a 10 min period to activate and last for about 2.3 hours before deactivating.
- Karma
- This represents how good or bad you are. Angels will strive to have positive Karma while demons will strive to have negative Karma.
- Legion
- In the Eternal Conflict, a legion is a segment of groups of demons. Each legion is headed by a Arch demon, a figure whose own distinctiveness outlines the hordes under them. All demons within Eternal Conflict belong to a legion. Being a member of a legion often carry with it a strong social identification. Most demons tend to associate most strongly with members of their own legion as well as horde. However, any demon type can co-exist under one legion with the exception of the Chieftain having to bare the same legion as their Arch demon to form a bond between the horde and the legion.
- Main HUD
- The device that is placed on your screen and allows for you to interact with the Eternal Conflict System.
- Mana
- Used to power attacks and spells. It gets depleted as you use attacks or spells but regenerates on its own.
- Materialized
- This is a state meaning the demon is alive.
- Meditation
- A time of relaxation where you can gain erg/essence. You can only gain a max of 4.00 erg/essence per 24 hours.
- Mentor
- A term, where an angel declares their loyalty to another, abiding by their Choir rules. Also, someone who teaches you and guides you within the system.
- Minion
- A demon who swears fealty to another.
- Mortal
- Humans that are the source of regenerating brightness/blood for angels and demons. Any avatar who is not a member of the Eternal Conflict system
- Overlord
- A term, where a demon declares their loyalty to another, abiding by their Horde rules. Also, someone who teaches you and guides you within the system.
- Pandemonium Arena
- Pandemonium Arena is a place where planned battles within the Eternal Conflict system take place. These battles are always Angel vs Demon or vice versa, never the same species fighting one another.
- Perception
- A skill used to see angels and demons that are present on the same region as you. As you level up perception it will give you a more detained scan.
- Possession Altar
- A ceremonial platform that has the ability to revive a demon from banished state with help from another demon willing to donate essence for this purpose.
- Practice Mode
- A mode that is present to show your minions what an attack would look like. While in Practice Mode HUD attacks will only do 1 damage and will not put you into Criminal Status. However if you use spells while in Practice Mode you will go Criminal and will also deal normal spell damage.
- Presence of a Greater Power
- A status that occurs when in the presence of a Sator.
- Professions
- Skills within the system that give you benefit in combat and other areas of the system. A list of recent profession are as follows.
- -Herbalism
- Gather reagents that can use used to make potions.
- -Alchemy
- Make potions such as healing potions, mana potions, and stoneskin potions.
- -Mining
- Gather ores that can be used to make ingots.
- -Blacksmithing
- Make armors that have various armor effects.
- -Lumberjacking
- Gather logs that can be used to make parchments.
- -Inscription
- Make spell scrolls.
- -Magery
- Cast spells from your spellbook.
- -Chiseling
- Gather crystals that can be cut into gemstones.
- -Gemcutting
- Cut gemstones and obtain varying degrees of gems with difference bonuses.
- -Jewelcrafting
- Craft jewelry that can give you bonuses for combat and professions.
- Raid Boss
- An AI that is used for PvE purposes. You can fight the Raid Boss in groups of 2-5 players of the same species. You must use the Party HUD in order to enter. There are various difficulties to the Raid Boss (Easy, Normal, Hard, and Heroic). Upon successfully defeating the Raid Boss all members of the Party will receive certain rewards.
- Rank
- By completed designated role-play tasks you will be able to progress in rank.
- Reputation
- A title displayed on your Self Scan determined by your Karma and Fame.
- Resting
- This is a state that angels enter when they wish to be inactive within the system. There are various degrees of Resting.
- Restoration Chamber
- A ceremonial platform that has the ability to restore an angel from faded state with help from another angel willing to donate erg for this purpose.
- Safe-zone
- A place where all attacks, feeding, and attack spells are disabled. Safe-zones are granted by the Sators from applications that are submitted to them.
- Stats
- Stats are used to build you character based on your play style. Everyday that you age you will gain stat points. You can also gain Stat Points from Mining, Lumberjacking, and Chiseling. Stat Points are maxed at 800, once you reach this cap you will no longer gain stat points. The following are the current stats that you can allocate your stat points into:
- -Strength
- Strength attribute will increase the maximum damage you can deal to your opponent. (Cap: 100)
- -Accuracy
- Accuracy closes the gap between your minimum and maximum damage for you to hit more accurately. (Cap: 200)
- -Vitality
- Each point you spend to increase your Vitality will increase your maximum blood/brightness by 3. (Cap: 500)
- Status
- This displays what you current status is. Meaning if you are vibrant/materialized, faded/banished. invulnerable, resting/cryonics, and etc.
- Song/Spawn
- The number that declares your distance from your Arch, and in extension, The Sators. Archs may be perceived as Generation Zero. Also note that generation has no effect on anything within the system it just depicts genealogy.
- Supremus
- The second in command of a Domain. They directly help the Archangels with managing the Choirs under them and etc.
- The Sators
- The Sators are the progenitor of all Angels and Demon. They are known as Lhinovanion & Tasha Helcaraxe. They are also the creators and developers of Eternal Conflict.
- Tairise Relics
- Artifacts with immense power, given to members as reward of their great or despicable acts.
- Teachers
- These are members of the system that schedule classes to teach things that have some relevance to A&D.
- Vibrant
- This is a state meaning the angel is alive.
