Overachiever: Đaɲgér ŃøøđĪє Séмριtéяɲαl (yaumii)

It was a cold and rainy evening even in the realms of heaven we could still see the weather in its own unique aspect day in day out. I had finally managed to secure interviews with certain angels with a pass to the higher heavens and to certain elite members of the realms who had become known as overachievers.

But it was a gloomy day on the horizon and as my nephilim wings fluttered to the landing point, I arrived a little before my first interview as I went into the unique crystal chambers to take a seat, my sodden wet hood came down and I shook the excess water off my clothing, I had a few moments before I would be meeting with the first Angel, I had heard how much this angel had done in terms of skilling and I had admired her from afar, I was keen to know the inner depths.

Angel Species – Đaɲgér ŃøøđĪє Séмριtéяɲαl (yaumii)

The crystal chamber’s glass doors opened, I could hear the patter of small hooves as they came close to the room I was located in, I had set up my recorder and smiled warmly as I watched Noodle come closer, but the smile faltered as I noticed her expression to me. It was an expression of seething annoyance and inconvenience etched into her beautiful youthful face as she didn’t bother shaking off the water from her black angelic wings or hair and dropped the pick axe down on the table near my recorder with a sudden loud clang and nearly breaking the glass table I coughed to clear the air and moved the recorder out of the way.

“Hi Noodle, I appreciate you being removed from the Mining chambers to have a chance to talk with me about your new overachiever status, please make yourself comfortable, this should not take too long”

I spoke to Noodle in an almost squeaking voice as I felt the coldness of the atmosphere and feel nervous to ask, but as I adjusted my nephilim wings with a small flutter and I looked down on my tablet of the questions I wanted to ask. I regained my posture, leaned forward to hit the button on the recorder and I spoke to Noodle, as I read the question from my little screen.

“When you first joined your path as a heavenly angel, did you already have a clear goal on where you wanted to go?” I spoke as I waited to listen for her answer grabbing a pen attached to my tablet so i could write down notes if it was needed.

“ I didn’t know much about this actually. I just checked which realm had the most people in it and I chose the other side because I love a challenge. I ascended by the first angel I met and just started exploring the realms more in-depth.” I watched as Noodle spoke with an icy breath and the tone was sharp and on point as I could tell she was unwilling to be here. As I made notes I smiled to try and bring some harmless warmth to the room so it wasn’t a draining atmosphere for us both.

“What drives you on the days you don’t feel motivated to skill but you still pick up the axe or hammer and drive forward with it regardless?” I asked my next question and I watched closely with eagerness for passing wisdom at this next question as I listened for her answer.

“Setting myself goals for the week in addition to the daily quests. I will give myself a break day only IF my daily quests aren’t ready yet. Most people don’t like going to the gym or jogging at first either, but eventually you find your stride and it will carry you along in those rough times.” Noodle spoke once more and this time I felt the devotion lingering off her lips and I could see it was a passion flooding through her angelic being.

“When the Sators brought in the over achiever status, and you noticed you had made it over the required achievement points, how did it feel?” When asking this question, I used a simple summoning spell and supplied some drinks of water near the pick axe so I could take refreshing soft gulp as I listened to her reply to the question.

“Actually, I didn’t know what to think. The term “Overachiever” has been used by some negatively in the past, however I choose to wear it with pride. 900 achievement points for me was a milestone. I’m not finished yet.” Noodle spoke confidently and I watched with pride and admiration for the fact she was so driven, I placed the glass down after drinking the water and made a few notes, I watched as Noodle shifted herself uncomfortably, I could tell she was still not really wanting to be here.

“What would you recommend for new angels when they are just starting out with their skills?” This question I was most interested to hear the answer with and as I continued on I made notes listening intently to Noodle.

“Work with friends, your mentor, your choir. Chatting and bonding with your team helps pass the time, which in the beginning be…rough. But that passes and you get stronger.”

“ Next question Is there a skill or achievement you wish you could have done differently or anything else in the heavenly realm?”

“The only thing I would change is….all the unwanted armor and weapons in the chest from my Blacksmithing days. I’d love to be able to break or dismantle them and get at least some ingots back. Or to be able to donate them. That is a lot of hours sitting in there.” Noodle explained to me calmly.

“What is your favorite achievement or skill that you have enjoyed working on the most?” As my inner journalism side came out, I was enjoying the reported answers as they came back to me.

“The holiday ones. The Snowball and Easter Eggs. They are quick and they are easy and it is a fun way to meet new people.” I had to laugh a little at this one, I found it amusing throwing easter eggs on the rare demon I would find or a snowball and i nodded in agreement to Noodle’s answer.

“If you could ask the Sators to change one of the skills you have had to do, or an achievement, what would you change or add?”

“I don’t think I would change any of them. They are fitting. I would like to see a land domination achievement though.” Noodle said.

“After reaching over achiever, what are your plans for the future?”I asked her as I was nearly done with the multiple questions.

“To keep going. I want to finish them all!” the determination in Noodle’s voice was loud and flourishing as the question was answered.

“What was the hardest achievement for you?” Once again I took notes as my gaze fell to my tablet and was ready to hear her answer.

“Born to Kill. This one involves a hefty amount of luck in finding demons, not just skill. It also requires a fair amount of time to devote to a hunt. My time right now is limited and I consider it better spent on other skills. Born to Kill will probably be my last achievement to complete fully. I want to be able to take my time, enjoy the effort, and hunt at my leisure.”

“How often do you check the leaderboards?”

“Daily. Usually I will check it at the start of my game play so I can catch up on any changes to the amount of my daily goal for myself and my choir. I check up on my mentee’s health and status.” Noodle spoke the last answer to one of the main questions I wanted to ask and I could tell she was impatient to be back out there in the rain with the pickaxe and as I shut off the recorder, my last fun question for the off the record moment was asked.

“ Do you have a tv show or movie you add in the background to motivate you?”

“ The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Original Cast) also gets me moving because its a favorite and I don’t need to watch it. Just listen and sing along.” Noodle answered and I watched as she picked back up her pickaxe and stood with her hooves swiftly walking back out of the crystal chambers. I admired and was grateful for her given time to the interview and I glanced over at my tablet once more for the time, I had a spare few moments before the next angel would be walking in.
